Recently
the girls received an inspiring email from the curator of Banting House
Museum. The home of Frederick Banting the discoverer of
insulin Hello Samantha -
I've attached a PDF and JPEG of the profile of you an your sister. It
is
still proudly displayed in the Museum on the wall outside the bedroom
where
Dr. Banting conceived his idea for insulin. The panel is
situated between
Bob Clarke and Victor Garber, both whom also participated in the
project.
Please know that thousands have seen your panel, and as someone whom has
conducted a number of the tours, I can tell you that it has helped
inspire
many. It has also helped to convey to many parents of children recently
diagnosed with type 1 diabetes that their children will be able to meet
their own personal goals . Hopefully, you and your sister
will one day
find yourself in Ontario and have an opportunity to visit the Musuem in
person.
